Interior view of 1931 standard-tube stock trailer car, for use on the Piccadilly line. The car appears to be in ‘as new’ condition, and without advertising, apart from a small panel poster promoting travel by Underground to the British Industries Fair. Sections of longitudinal seating are covered with a moquette of abstract design, composed of clusters of interlocking horizontal and vertical lines. A bay of transverse seating is visible halfway down the car. Note also the individual shaded lamps and the looped handgrabs.
